Where can I buy a Titleist AP2 7 iron?
I lost my 7 iron and now I am trying to buy one back. I could use some help locating where! It would be preferable with a 5.5 Project X shaft. Thank you!

nineadmin answers:
Hi there Mandy, good to see you, thanks for asking the nineteenth hole. I would check eBay definitely. I would also look at your local golf shops. Most have a bag that has single odd priced irons that have been found or handed in. If you find it there, odds are you would get it for next to nothing!

Thomas asks…
how about Titleist AP2 Iron Set?
I want to buy Titleist AP2 Irons as christmas gift for my son. could you give me some advice about the Titleist AP2 Iron Set?

nineadmin answers:
You are a good father. There are some info about Titleist AP2 Iron Set. Hope it useful for you The AP2′s high-tech, multi-material construction features a steel body, tungsten nickel sole, elastomer bar and aluminum cavity plate. AP2 is built to deliver both performance and feel. The dual cavity design of the Titleist AP2 irons pushes weight to the perimeter for forgiveness. A central cross member featuring a soft elastomer cushion provides structural rigidity behind the impact area while also dampening face vibration for better overall feel. The lower cavity of the Titleist AP2 iron is enclosed by a tungsten nickel box. This high-density material locates the weight low and deep while providing structural rigidity and low frequency vibration dampening for outstanding solid feel. The tungsten nickel box helps reduce the sole and back flange width for better turf performance and shot control.
Titleist AP2 irons provide a comfortable and confidence-inspiring appearance in the set up position with a traditional blade profile and hosel junction. The metallic back cavity plate contributes to the AP2′s great looks and bag appeal.
Features:
Multi-material, dual cavity, technically forged
Advanced performance with a traditional solid feel and looks provide shot control for the skilled player handicap 5-9

Jenny asks…
Buying a set of Titleist AP2 Irons. Which flex should I go with? Project X 5.5 or 6.0?
I swing pretty hard and hit my 8 iron about 140… 7 iron around 160. Which flex should i get and what is the difference? I also swing a burner tour driver with a stiff flex.

nineadmin answers:
Definitely the 5.5. I have them in the 5.5 and they are butter. The 5.5 plays just like a DG S300 in terms of stiffness. I hit my 8 155yds and my 7 167yds, so I think you are pretty close to me in yardages. I tried the 6.0, and way too harsh, no feel (And I have a quick tempo as well)
My only question, is why do you hit your 8 only 140yds, and your 7 160yds? An average gap is a 10-12 yd gap b/w those irons…

Sandra asks…
Nike split cavity or Titleist ap2?
Have 909 driver, 3wood and hybrid, Love em all. want a little better iron about a 10 handicap. Hit both and still not for sure. Currently have Nike full cavity but Titleist has got me leaning that way

nineadmin answers:
Titleist irons are very good, if funds permit and you can justify the new purchase, then go for the Titleist AP2 irons. Ask yourself if the clubs will give an increased benefit for your game, will the cost translate into better scores.

Steven asks…
Which Irons are more forgiving? Titleist AP2 or Titleist CB?
I’m 16 years old and i’m a 7 Handicap. Or what other clubs would you recommend?
Or what other clubs would you recommend?
I’m not a very pure ball striker, i’m about 150 yard 7 or 8 Iron

nineadmin answers:
Ap2 are a more forgiving iron than the cb’s but no question the cb’s are beautiful, small, compact, and more classic lines. I am more of a titleist iron guy, but if you’re looking for other options, you might also consider forged mizuno irons, they feel excellent.

James asks…
Titleist AP2 Iron Set?
where can i buy online? more cheaper is better. appreciate!

nineadmin answers:
Be carefull about looking for the cheapest set. There is very little margin for golf clubs, so if you see a set for $500 cheaper than majority of the brick and mortar stores, be aware you could be getting a stolen, abused or fake set. In Canada the avg retail price is around $1000 CAN.
Good choice on the irons if you do buy them. They have a nice soft feel when you hit them.

Mark asks…
I am looking at new player improvement irons and am stuck between mizuno mp58, titleist ap2, and r9 tp.?
I have had the mizuno mp32 blades since I was in high school, but I want more forgiveness in my irons…but still be able to work them. Also I don’t play as much. I play to about a 1 handicap when I play about once or twice a week and it has been as low as +1 when I am playing consistently. So basically I am trying to figure out based on what people have heard about these clubs, or if you have them how do you like them. Thanks

nineadmin answers:
Mp 58 will not be any more forgiving than your 32s. Really none of these are going to be light years easier to hit. Not $900 worth anyway. If you are a 1 handicap then its not that you need more forgiveness in your irons, since your misses tend to be from the clubface open or closed at impact, rather than missing all over the face. Something like Ping i10, Callaway x-22 tour, something along those lines will be more difficult to work, but easier to hit straight than your current irons. If it is definitely going to be one of the 3 models you mentioned, then get the AP2s. No point in ever buying TM clubs at retail, you know they will be 30% off in less than a year and replaced soon after

Robert asks…
titleist 710 AP2 vs. AP2?
Anybody that has hit both can you tell if there is a big difference in feel? Do the 710′s feel better then the original ap2′s?
The original titleist AP2 irons that were released in 2009 vs the 2010 model of the titleist 710 AP2 iron

nineadmin answers:
I have hit both and I find some slight differences between the muscle back and the cavity back, but they are both excellent irons. First off, the cavity back on the ap2 makes it slightly more forgiving than the mb 710. I also noticed that the ball flight on the ap2 irons were slightly higher than the 710s, but not by much. Also, if you have a tendency to dig into the ball a little more at impact I would recommend the AP2s because the shot comes off a little more fat with the muscle back 710s. As a 5 handicap, when comparing both irons on the range and the course, I noticed that the ap2s went a little farther, maybe 5 yards more, than the 710′s on decent shots, but when I flushed the ball the 710′s would go farther. If you have never hit a muscle back iron before, I would highly recommend doing so on a driving range, just to see if you like the muscle back feel because it varies between players. If you can’t decide and you equally like them both, I do know that the 710′s are $100 cheaper than the AP2s. Hope this helps.

Carol asks…
Titleist Ap1 vs Ap2 ?
What is the difference between Titleist ap1 and ap2. what type of handicap are these for ?

nineadmin answers:
The Primary difference is that the AP1′s are cast and the Titleist AP2 irons are forged. Both are generally for more skilled lower handicap players according to Titleist.
