I am trying out for the golf team. i am going into freshman year and only about 2 ppl are going to get cut. but i don’t wanna be one of those two ppl!!! what are some basic tips. i don’t whiff alot but sometimes the ball just doesnt go as far as i like. my putting is good, but i need some chipping tips

If you are willing to work on your game and can make consistent contact with the ball, I’d keep you on my team. For high school girls, many golf coaches (unless you go to a school with an outstanding girls golf program) are just looking for girls who have some experience with the sport. I hate having to start from scratch. Don’t EXPECT to play varsity in the very first match but definitely show the coach that you WANT to.

Golf GPS systems fall into two categories; dedicated units and downloadable SW. The former require purchase of a hardware unit and some kind of maintenance program and/or cost per course downloaded. Prices range from ~150 – >450 for the units and per course costs can be up to 20, while annual subscriptions can be from 20 – 100 depending on how many courses you want, if you travel regionally, or internationally.

Golf lessons.

Well I live in Moab, Utah but I know where you can get lessons. I would find a way to any local golf course. There you would be able to ask the pro for lessons. They are usually the cheapest and the easiest way to learn how to play golf. If not then any other course would work but it might cost more. A public course would be great!

Mandy asks…
I know they exist because I have seen them at the driving range, which has callaway golf bags without any clubs slots. they use them to carry balls. Is there a name for them and where can i find them?

Need a little help here. someone help me.

If you haven’t hit the fairway on your last three drives, put your driver away and save some penalty strokes. Practice at the driving range and use your 3 or 5 wood off the tee.
Direction not Distance…then perfect the short game.
Choking up might harm your distance, but it helps your control.
Simple tips for the driving range w/ your driver.
1.Tension free- stay loose before your swing.
2.Turn your back to target, full swing right.
3. Turn your chest to target, full swing left.
4. Keep swing wide.
5. Balance after the swing.

I have seen Titleist staff bags that are about 3 feet tall. I have seen them on ranges to hold the balls. I was wondering where you could get one. That would be cool to have one! Thanks!
